Summer Europe 2026

Forum-Nexus’s multi-country study abroad program is designed for students who want to experience more of what Europe has to offer. Over the course of one summer, learning unfolds across multiple cities. Coursework is delivered on site and curated by location. That can look like international business discussions in Milan, where luxury goods are central to the country’s commerce, or exploring sustainable design in Switzerland where quality of life is a cultural priority.

This is a summer study abroad program for students who want academic credibility, cultural fluency, and the kind of experience that changes their understanding of the world.

Europe from a New Vantage Point

Unlike other study abroad summer programs, students and professors move through multiple European countries together.

Our Program Structure

Our Program Structure

Mornings begin with engaging coursework and faculty-led discussions. Classes are interactive and push students to stretch their intellectual lens. Learning also takes place outside the classroom with exclusive site visits to luxury brands, global organizations and local destinations.

During the afternoons students are invited to explore neighborhoods, museums, cafés, and public spaces with peers. Evenings, while unstructured, often include shared meals, time for reflection, and rest.

Students experience independence without isolation. Parents can trust there is structure that enables self-led learning and freedom.

Courses Offered

Forum-Nexus offers students across all majors the flexibility to combine regular courses, Supervised Independent Study (SIS), and internships, earning up to nine transferable credits through a customized international academic experience.

Forum-Nexus Courses
Classes are held on weekday mornings, either at a local campus or in the conference center of the hotel. The professor for each course travels with the group from city to city. Each regular course (section 01 and section 02 courses) is worth 3 U.S. semester credit hours (6 ECTS credits). All students take at least one regular course.
Students enrolled in a Supervised Independent Study (SIS) course pursue structured independent work, following a well-defined syllabus, under the supervision of one or two faculty members. SIS courses allow students to study a specific subject in the context of Europe/the European Union. Each SIS course is worth 3 U.S. semester credit hours (6 ECTS credits). Students enrolled in an SIS course are required to also enroll in a regular 3-credit course.

The Forum-Nexus Internship Program provides students with an opportunity to gain valuable academic and professional experience while earning 3 internship credits. There are a limited number of openings. There are internships available in Social Media, Arts, Communication, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Media and others. Students enrolled in an internship course are required to also enroll in a regular 3-credit course.

Internship Program

Forum-Nexus programs focus on enhancing students' International IQ through a daily seminar led by Dr. Hugo Hervitz, where they learn about European cultures, geography, current events, and language tips, fostering a deeper understanding and immersive study abroad experience.

Internship Program

Professional Visits

Professional visits are included in our study abroad programs for college students and allow students to engage with professionals and organizations across Europe and gain access to how global industries operate in real-world settings.

Cultural Visits

Our Independent Cultural Visits (ICVs) provide students with exposure to the cultural life of each city independently, visiting museums, historic sites, and events as part of the academic experience.

Sponsoring Universities

Franklin University Switzerland

A prestigious liberal arts university accredited both in the U.S. (Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools) and in Switzerland (Swiss University Conference).

Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

One of Italy’s leading private universities, based in Milan. Università Cattolica is fully accredited and a member of the ISEP network.

Independent Weekend Day Trips and Excursions

Free weekends are designed for independent exploration. Students may choose to stay in the host city or plan independent day trips to nearby destinations, as well as weekend excursions to other cities or countries. Forum-Nexus provides recommended itineraries to help students navigate options and make the most of their time.

Travel arrangements and expenses for these independent trips are not included in the program fee. Weekend schedules and suggested destinations are outlined in detail here.

Clubs in Our Multi-Country Study Abroad Program

As part of our multi-country study abroad experience, free time is intentionally built into the program. Some experiences unfold as a full group, while others happen in smaller circles formed around shared interests.
These student-led clubs add flexibility to our summer study abroad programs, allowing learning and connection to continue beyond the classroom and tailored to our student’s personal goals.
Most clubs begin through the private WhatsApp group one to two months before departure, giving participants in our study abroad programs for college students a chance to connect early and plan together.
