The Forum-Nexus Scholarship Program

The below information applies to our Forum Europe Summer 2018 program. Details related to our 2019 programs will be available by August 15, 2018.

At Forum-Nexus, we understand the great importance of an international education, but we are also mindful of the financial burden many students bear, which can be a prohibiting factor in their decision to study abroad. We are proud to introduce a new scholarship program offering a total of 36 scholarships for students attending a college or university in the U.S. or any other country.

The FN Scholarship Program is divided into three application periods: January, February, and March.

Scholarship Application Deadlines

January 2018 Scholarships

Application deadline: January 31
Award notification: February 15

February 2018 Scholarships

Application deadline: February 28
Award notification: March 15

March 2018 Scholarships

Application deadline: March 31
Award notification: April 15

NEW: April/May 2018 Scholarships

Application deadline: Apply as soon as possible. Awards will be considered on a first-come basis.
Award notification: Within 7 days of submitting all scholarship application materials.

Part 1: Forum-Nexus scholarships for students enrolled in a college or university in the U.S.

The following scholarships are available to current students in the U.S.:

January Scholarships

  • 1 scholarship for $5,000
  • 1 scholarship for $2,500
  • 2 scholarships for $1,000 each
  • 2 scholarships for $500 each

February Scholarships

  • 1 scholarship for $5,000
  • 1 scholarship for $2,500
  • 2 scholarships for $1,000 each
  • 2 scholarships for $500 each

March Scholarships

  • 1 scholarship for $5,000
  • 1 scholarship for $2,500
  • 2 scholarships for $1,000 each
  • 2 scholarships for $500 each

April/May Scholarships

  • 1 scholarship for $5,000
  • 1 scholarship for $2,500
  • 2 scholarships for $1,000 each
  • 2 scholarships for $500 each

Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for a Forum-Nexus scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be accepted into the main session of one of our summer programs
  • Be currently enrolled at a college or university in the United States
  • Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Receive financial aid at their home institution

Application Process

The following materials are required:

  • Scholarship Application (Form 25-A)
  • Scholarship Essay
  • Resume
  • Transcript (submitted via email)
  • Financial Aid verification in the form of a financial aid award letter from your home university or your Student Aid Report (SAR) - Find your SAR at FAFSA.ed.gov
  • Letter of Recommendation*

*Your letter of recommendation should come from a professor, coach, advisor, supervisor, or colleague. They must email the letter directly to info@forum-nexus.com on your behalf.

Part 2: Forum-Nexus scholarships for students enrolled in a college or university in any country other than the U.S.

The following scholarships are available to current students in countries other than the U.S.:

January Scholarships

  • 1 scholarship for $5,000

  • 2 scholarships for $1,000 each
  • 2 scholarships for $500 each

February Scholarships

  • 1 scholarship for $5,000
  • 1 scholarship for $2,500

April/May Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria

In order to apply for a Forum-Nexus scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Be accepted into one of our summer programs
  • Be currently enrolled at a college or university in a country other than the United States
  • Maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average equivalent to at least a 3.0 in the U.S. (Students from universities that do not use a GPA system must have a minimum grade average of 80 out of 100.)
  • Receive financial aid at their home institution

  • Scholarship Essay
  • Resume
  • Transcript (submitted via email)
  • Financial Aid verification in the form of a financial aid award letter from your home university

Scholarship Details

A student may only apply once. Applications will not be considered until all application materials have been submitted via email to info@forum-nexus.com. All application materials must be submitted by midnight EST on the deadline date.

Scholarship award recipients are chosen by the FN Scholarship Committee and its decisions are based on a combination of financial need, academic achievements, and motivation, as expressed in the scholarship application materials. Forum-Nexus Study Abroad does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, age, nationality, disability, or religion.

Award notification will be made via email. Scholarship recipients are expected to maintain their GPA after the scholarship has been awarded. Scholarships are only available for use on our summer programs.

A student who applies for a Forum-Nexus scholarship may also be considered for the Student Assistantship Program. A scholarship applicant should mark the appropriate section of their scholarship application form to indicate a dual application for the Student Assistantship Program. For students who are selected for an award, the award may take the form of a scholarship only, an assistantship position only, or a combination of a scholarship and an assistantship.
