Over the past few weeks, we\u2019ve shared the details on our visits to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/forum-nexus.com\/blog\/summer-2019-barcelona\/\">Barcelona (Spain),<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/forum-nexus.com\/blog\/summer-europe-2019-stop-2-paris\/\">Paris (France)<\/a>, Geneva (Switzerland),&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/forum-nexus.com\/blog\/summer-europe-2019-stops-3-4-chamonix-geneva\/\">Chamonix (<\/a>France), Lake Como (Italy), Lugano (Switzerland), and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/forum-nexus.com\/blog\/summer-europe-2019-stops-5-7-milan-lake-como-lugano\/\">Milan (Italy),<\/a>&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/forum-nexus.com\/blog\/summer-europe-2019-stop-8-rome-italy\/\">Rome<\/a>! Our final study abroad stop of the summer is a Forum-Nexus favorite: The island of Rhodes, Greece.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rhodes (R\u00f3dos) is the capital of the Dodecanese islands of Greece. The island is known for being home to the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World! The island is called Rhodes, and we will be staying in the city of Rhodes. One of the main attractions to visit is the Medieval Old Town, which has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The official language in Rhodes is Greek. Start becoming familiar with basic Greek words and phrases using an app such as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.duolingo.com\/course\/el\/en\/Learn-Greek\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Duolingo<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The official currency is the Euro.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We arrive to Rhodes on Saturday night, and Sunday is a free day to enjoy the island. Students visiting Santorini or Athens for the weekend should arrive on Sunday evening. Classes in Rhodes will be held in the hotel conference center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transportation in Rhodes is most convenient by taxi or on foot. You can arrange for a taxi into the Old Town by visiting the front desk of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">our hotel<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
